a 6 week program for postpartum moms to reconnect and reshape their bodies, and connect with their babies

Program Overview

Your body has been through a lot to carry and deliver your baby, and it is still working hard to nurture your growing baby during postpartum recovery. 

Confident Mama is an education and wellness program to empower mothers to recover, strengthen, and feel comfortable in their bodies after giving birth and while raising a child. We teach postpartum mothers body mechanics knowledge and practical day-to-day exercises.

​We're also a supportive community where mothers can ask whatever questions they might have about their and their baby's health. We want to help you achieve confidence in both your body and your own parenting style.

What Mammas are Saying in Hindsight About Postpartum

The process itself is very taxing on your body. I " recovered" very quickly and was up and about and back in my clothes within three months. But; as time passed, I realized my body had undergone great trauma and recovery wasn't complete when I thought it was. I would have liked to take more time to nurture it back to health and slowly strengthen each day. I wish I had had placed more emphasis on rest and nurturing rather than getting up and about.

​This workshop help you reconnect with your body. We start with a 10 minutes introduction of changes in your body followed by 30 minutes of Pilates. After this workshop you will go home feeling comfortable and refreshed in your body. Babies are welcome!

Our Story

"We found each other through a happy surprise. A common patient introduced and convinced us to meet. (Thanks Sue!)
As soon as we met we understood why Sue was excited for us. We shared the same fundamental philosophy towards health and exercise. We both believe that our roles in our patient's/client's lives are meant to be transient. Our patients/clients come to us for help and walk away feeling better and with enough knowledge to continue his or her own journey. Of course we will be there for the patient as long as they need us but our goal is to enable them to stand on their own.
 
Our passionate conversation especially blossomed when the topic of women's health popped up. We noted the lack of support women get for the physical aspect of motherhood. It takes time to recover from a pregnancy and delivery and many women take only 6 weeks of sleepless exhausted nights before returning to work. Not to mention the difficulty of carrying and caring for a growing child can be very taxing on the body. We wanted to empower these women with knowledge and tools they can recover well and learn how to deal with issues that commonly crop up with childrearing. We don't want to tell anyone how to raise a child but we do passionately care about making sure you don't physically hurt yourself in the process.
 
Through our many coffee driven conversations Confident Mama was born.
